POESIA - 17 Octubre de 2022 - ALMO

POESIA

                                   17

Los astros ya nos anuncian el Renacimiento
del eterno ideal por comenzar a vivir,
entramos serenamente en la quinta dimensión,
lo trascendental ya se vuelve lo normal,
y brillan tus mejores logros por doquier,
cada ser humano encuentra su rumbo certero,
es la hora de la Armonía, la Luz y la Paz .

Text :
" I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. "

" He visto cosas que ustedes no creerían.

LEONARD BERNSTEIN (August 25, 1918 – October 14, 1990) -  3 / 7

An internal world of music brings us to the baton of Leonard Bernstein. A life of many ups and downs. A solitude glimpse in his total immersion in each masterpiece. He can be beloved or avoided, but never forgotten. In each one of his conducting experiences the final results are outstanding as we listen to his amazing devotion and love to music.

Although some people may deny his tempos for several reasons, it all comes to a unique manner of symbiosis of heart and soul, an encounter of reality and dreams, a truthful dialogue between composer and conductor, reaching a land of glory wherein joyful feelings rise within the open senses of a good listener.

Thank you on behalf of art, Maestro Leonard Bernstein . . .

( 7 May, 1840 - 6 November 1893 )  -  3 / 7

One of a kind in musical compositions, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky shall always be remembered and related to beautiful creations during his dramatic but fruitful career. Although living a wild emotional life, he was astonishly able to compose, with great intensity, his internal fears and depressions and transform them into remarkable scores where very few musicians are invited to enter.

If you are in the middle of any difficult times and listen to any of his works, you may identify yourself, feel those sad episodes turned into glorious periods of overcoming them, in such a way, that you may even seem to follow the whole atmosphere of his music as part of your daily life.

Even if you do not understand classical music at all, you may have an inspirational message which may last all your future days to come.

from WIKIPEDIA . . .

The Mamas & the Papas were an American folk rock vocal group formed in Los Angeles, California, which recorded and performed from 1965 to 1968. The group was a defining force in the music scene of the counterculture of the 1960s. The group consisted of Americans John PhillipsCass Elliot, and Michelle Phillips and Canadian Denny Doherty. Their sound was based on vocal harmonies arranged by John Phillips,[2] the songwriter, musician, and leader of the group, who adapted folk to the new beat style of the early 1960s.

The Mamas & the Papas released five studio albums and 17 singles over four years, six of which made the Billboard top 10, and have sold close to 40 million records worldwide.[3] The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 for its contributions to the music industry.[1] The band reunited briefly to record the album People Like Us in 1971 but had ceased touring and performing by that time. Some of their most popular singles include "California Dreamin'", "Monday, Monday", and "Dedicated to the One I Love".

from Wikipedia . . .

Leonard Bernstein (/ˈbɜːrnstn/ BURN-styne;[1] August 25, 1918 – October 14, 1990) was an American conductor, composer, pianist, music educator, author, and humanitarian. Considered to be one of the most important conductors of his time, he was the first American conductor to receive international acclaim. According to music critic Donal Henahan, he was "one of the most prodigiously talented and successful musicians in American history".[2] Bernstein was the recipient of many honors, including seven Emmy Awards,[3] two Tony Awards,[4] sixteen Grammy Awards[5] including the Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Kennedy Center Honor.[6]

As a composer he wrote in many genres, including symphonic and orchestral music, ballet, film and theatre music, choral works, opera, chamber music and works for the piano. His best-known work is the Broadway musical West Side Story, which continues to be regularly performed worldwide, and has been adapted into two (1961 and 2021) feature films. His worksinclude three symphonies, Chichester PsalmsSerenade after Plato's "Symposium", the original score for the film On the Waterfront, and theater works including On the TownWonderful TownCandide, and his MASS.

Bernstein was the first American-born conductor to lead a major American symphony orchestra.[7] He was music director of the New York Philharmonic and conducted the world's major orchestras, generating a significant legacy of audio and video recordings.[8] He was also a critical figure in the modern revival of the music of Gustav Mahler, in whose music he was most passionately interested.[9] A skilled pianist,[10] he often conducted piano concertos from the keyboard. He was the first conductor to share and explore music on television with a mass audience. Through dozens of national and international broadcasts, including the Emmy Award-winning Young People's Concerts with the New York Philharmonic, he made even the most rigorous elements of classical music an adventure in which everyone could join. Through his educational efforts, including several books and the creation of two major international music festivals, he influenced several generations of young musicians.

A lifelong humanitarian, Bernstein worked in support of civil rights;[11] protested against the Vietnam War;[12] advocated nuclear disarmament; raised money for HIV/AIDS research and awareness; and engaged in multiple international initiatives for human rights and world peace. Near the end of his life, he conducted an historic performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 in Berlin to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall. The concert was televised live, worldwide, on Christmas Day, 1989.[13]
